Nintendo Switch owners have been anxiously awaiting more details about the upcoming Nintendo Online Service. Well, Nintendo of America finally announced via its Twitter account that the service, seemingly titled Nintendo Switch Online, will arrive in September of 2018! The online service will have three pricing options: $19.99 for a full year, $7.99 for three months, and $3.99 for one month. The service will give subscribers access to a selection of classic Nintendo games, exclusive subscriber-only discounts on the eShop, and full online multiplayer capabilities. Until the official launch date in September, online multiplayer will remain free for all Switch users.

The appeal here for Zelda fans is that classic Zelda games will hopefully become available through the classic games selection. The online service may provide a great opportunity for fans to relive old Zelda games they loved, or to experience entries in the series they may have missed over the years.
