The fifth annual South by Southwest Gaming Awards took place recently and once again Breath of the Wild took home the top award for Video Game of the Year. This should not be surprising for Nintendo and Breath of the Wild, as they have already won this award numerous times from other gaming awards, but it is always nice to get another one. With over 500,000 votes for this year, no one game dominated the event, but Breath of the Wild did take home 2 other awards, Excellence in Design and Excellence in Gameplay.

You can check out the livestream of the event on demand here (via Twitch).
