Stranded on Eventide is easily my favorite shrine quest in Breath of the Wild. Not only is it a cool nostalgic throwback to Link’s Awakening, but it is also unique in that it strips Link of his items and forces him to gather all new resources to complete the quest. As much as I enjoyed this challenge, YouTuber Hyrule Dude has put together a video showing a really cool glitch that lets you tackle this shrine quest with as much of your gear as you like! The key to keeping some of your equipment for this quest is to swim towards the island and STOP the instant your feet touch ground in the shallow water. At this point, drop whatever gear, weapons, and food you think you’ll need for the quest. Then approach the island, trigger the quest (which strips you of all the gear in your inventory), and simply walk back into the water to pick up the items you dropped! This way, you can tackle Stranded on Eventide completely geared up! There is one very important caveat to this glitch: when the quest is completed, you will lose all the items you gathered from the moment the quest started to the moment you complete it. This includes the items you left in the water and picked up once you triggered the quest, so don’t drop anything that you are afraid to lose!

I personally loved the challenge of the Stranded on Eventide quest, so I highly recommend avoiding this glitch and playing it as intended, at least the first time. But if you want a way to complete this quest with a little less hassle, this glitch is a great way to do it! You can check out Hyrule Dude’s video below, or click here to view it on YouTube.
